5 Life Milestones that Deserve an Award

When someone chooses to strive towards a goal, they're bound to have epic life milestones at some time or another. However, it's easy for people to simply look ahead to the next goal without taking the time to notice their awesome achievements.

So let's pause for a second and take the time to celebrate our wins and accomplishments with each other.

Not sure where to start? Consider these five personal milestones that deserve an award.

1. Breaking a Personal Record

Breaking a personal record requires you to go above and beyond your highest efforts. Maybe you have a friend who trained for a marathon. Or know someone who put in extra practise than they normally do.

Regardless of what it's about, these personal milestones are something worth acknowledging. Make sure to encourage and congratulate the people in your life when they reach new goals.

2. Obtaining Consistency and Balance

Whether it's a new habit, a second language, etc. , working consistently towards a new goal is challenging. There are plenty of obstacles to get in the way of success.

For example, a sports player has to balance both homework and a sports routine. Struggling with either one could hinder their overall efforts. This makes obtaining consistency while still balancing other important priorities an achievement to celebrate.

3. Showing Kindness Towards Others

People who choose to do nice things for others have achieved an awesome personal milestone.

Often, acts of kindness are done anonymously, making it tricky to find out who it is to acknowledge.

Though, if you accidentally find out someone's "secret identity" then make sure to acknowledge their efforts, or better yet, surprise them with kindness in return.

4. Reading The Most Library Books

If you're a librarian at a school, then a library book award can be a unique and fun way to reward students for personal milestones that they accomplished during their own free time.

Many books are hours long, and when students put in the time to read them, they will become stronger in their skills, which can help them in college and beyond.

5. Mastery of a Difficult Subject

Speaking of students—while everyone is better in different subject areas and have different strengths and weaknesses, some students put in the time and effort to go above and beyond even in the subjects they struggle with.

Acknowledge students who come for help simply because they want to grow, not just because a test is on the following day.

If you're a teacher, then you could call their parents just to say how awesome they are. Or you could give them metal or trophy to make them feel extra special.

Celebrating Epic Life Milestones

No matter who you are, you'll face challenges. However, when you choose to continue striving towards your goals, you'll have plenty of things to celebrate.

By encouraging each other and acknowledging each other's achievements, we're setting our life milestones in the direction of success.
