This year on the 6^th of February , her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee . This amazing achievement marks 70 years of loyal service to the commonwealth and people of the United Kingdom.

This year, in particular, street parties and public celebrations such as the Trooping the Colour, which honors the Queen's formal birthday, will occur. Public servants, such as members of the Armed Forces, emergency responders, and jail service officers, will also receive a Platinum Jubilee medal.
